STATEMENT OF KASC VISION, MISSION,

GOALS & OBJECTIVES

VISION

A premiere Higher Education Institution in Northern Luzon

 

 

MISSION

As a molder of nation builders, KASC shall provide quality instruction, engage in relevant research and extension programs, establish and operate profitable income-generating projects, and implement sustained capability-building programs to respond to changing demands.

 

GOALS

1.      Quality and Excellence

§  Upgrading of instructional facilities and equipment

§  Instructional capability-building of a dynamic pool of experts in the various disciplines

 

2.      Relevance and Responsiveness

§  Accreditation of curricular programs to ensure generation and transmission of knowledge and development of skills that can address the challenges and demands of the continually changing needs of local, regional, and international society

§  Revitalization of Instruction, Research, Extension, and Production programs to propel technology-generation and transfer

 

3.      Access and Equity

§  Exploration of scholarship grants and provision of equitable access to higher education for the underprivileged but deserving clientele

 

4.      Efficiency and Effectiveness

§  Maximized and optimized utilization of available financial and material resources to hasten modernization

§  Adoption of cost-saving measures and income-generating programs

 

OBJECTIVES

 

I. Quality and Excellence

1.          Vision/Mission

  §   Periodic evaluation on the adherence to the vision/mission in the conduct of all activities of the institution

 

2.          Faculty

  §   To employ teachers according to the needs of the College and motivate teachers to pursue relevant and appropriate graduate studies

  §   Re-focus faculty development programs/thrusts to build up a pool of experts in the various disciplines

 

3.          Curriculum/Instruction

  §   Compliance with CHED Minimum Standards and accreditation requirements through the provision of upgraded and more adequate instructional facilities and equipment

  §   Conduct periodic institutional quality assurance monitoring and evaluation

  §   Develop strategies to assure high percentage of licensure passers

 

4.          Support to Students

  §   To review existing admission policies and standards and establish a more functional admission and guidance program

  §   Improve physical facilities and equipment that cater to the needs of the students

 

5.          Research

  §   Generate technologies that are appropriate for the enhancement of agri-industriallization and environmental development

  §   Develop and enforce institutional policies for the promotion, protection, and publication of research outputs

  §   Conduct researches in line with CHED and DOST thrust and support the program of networking/collaboration with local and with international bodies

 

6.          Extension

  §   Come up with more relevant extension programs that could improve the quality of life of the target clientele

  §   Assist in the pursuit of lasting peace and order

  §   Transfer technologies and provide trainings to farmers

 

II. Relevance and Responsiveness

1.          Faculty

  §   Establish professional chairs and exchange programs

  §   Undertake continuing professional enhancement programs

  §   Review and upgrade faculty development and advanced policies

  §   Improve faculty work loading and assignments

 

2.          Student Services

  §   Operationalize a “Ob Placement Office.”

  §   Establish cultural programs and activities

  §   Adopt year-round sport activities

  §   Expand the dormitory

  §   Enrichment of co-curricular activities

 

3.          Research and Extension

  §   Adopt objective letter c in the handout

  §   Widen faculty participation in R & E

  §   Allot bigger budget

  §   Tap international and national funding agencies

 

4.          Curriculum/Instruction

  §   Review/ enrich existing and offer new relevant programs

  §   Adopt letters b & c in handout

  §   Integration to peace and values formulation education in the curriculum

 

5.          Library

  §   Acquisition of additional books and reference in conformity with TPAE & CHED standards

  §   Establish specialized libraries

  §   Provision of internet utilization

  §   Advance degrees for the librarians

 

6.          Laboratory

  §   Acquisition of Laboratory equipment in conformity with TPAE and CHED standards

 

7.          Physical Plant and Facilities

  §   Construction/completion of a multi-purpose gym and sports complex

  §   Improve water facilities

 

8.          Administration

  §   Review the organizational structure

  §   Strengthen establishment of linkages and networking with other agencies

  §   Explore other sources of funds

  §   Establish profitable Income-Generating Programs

 

III. Access and Equity

  §   To disseminate to its clientele and to community, the KASC vision, mission

  §   To conduct information drive about KASC

 

2.          Faculty

  §   To give preference in hiring our highly qualified graduates

  §   To promote faculty and staff advancement thru scholarship, study grant, seminars, trainings, and conferences

 

3.          Instruction

  §   To assign teachers in their fields of specializations

  §   To offer- need driven courses in addition to existing courses like the ladderized courses and skill development

 

4.          Students

  §   To offer scholarships to poor and deserving students

  §   To upgrade student services through sports, trainings, seminars and conferences

  §   To strengthen campus organization to harness students’ talents

 

5.          Research

  §   To encourage students, the faculty and, the graduates to engage in researches

  §   To review the impact of the past researches of the college

  §   To provide financial support to relevant researches

 

6.          Extension

  §   Explore and establish linkages with local, regional, and international agencies

  §   To conduct career information about KASC

  §   o expand extension services to communities

 

7.          Library

  §   To acquire more and latest references, books, and mails that can address the needs of curricular offerings

 

8.          Physical Plant/Facilities

  §   To rationalize the productive utilization of our physical resources

  §   To construct more dormitories for students and housing facilities for faculty and staff

 

9.          Laboratory

  §   To procure and update more laboratory facilities and equipment

 

10.          Administration

  §   To implement existing policies of standard as prescribed by existing laws of the CHED

 

IV. Efficiency and Effectiveness

§  To develop a well-planned HRM strategy responsive to the needs of the college

§  To renew and revise policies and procedures to make them more comprehensive and relevant

§  To strengthen the administrative capability of personnel and staff

§  To continuously enrich the curriculum through relevantization and ladderization

§  To upgrade/update instructional materials & teaching capabilities through the new technologies, trainings, seminars, workshops, & others

§  To maximize and efficiently  use the resources through cost-saving measures

§  To observe proper implementation of policies/procedures

§  To increase and encourage relevant research outputs to generate new technologies and income
